Frequently Asked Questions

General

Q: What is Bach Bank?

A: We rescue unopened, unused food from bachelorette weekends and donate it to local food access organizations.

Q: Is this a real nonprofit?

A: Yes. Bach Bank (Bach Pantry Project) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Tennessee. We are committed to reducing food waste and increasing food access throughout the Nashville community, and we’re currently working towards operating in markets around the country.

Scheduling Pickups

Q: What kind of food can I donate?

A: Anything sealed and safe to eat! That includes snacks, drinks, unopened groceries, frozen foods, and extra shelf-stable goods.

Q: What about leftover alcohol?

A: We don’t donate alcohol directly to shelters or food banks, but we put it to good use by repurposing it for Bach Bank benefit events. These small fundraising gatherings help us raise awareness and support for our mission — turning unopened, leftover drinks into a resource that fuels even more good. It’s our way of letting the celebration live on for a cause.

Q: Do I need to be there when you pick up?

A: Nope! You can leave items labeled outside your Airbnb or in the lobby of your apartment rental/hotel. Just put perishable items on ice. We’ll handle it from there.

Q: Do I need to know what food we’ll have leftover before I schedule a pickup?

A: Nope! You can schedule a pickup without knowing exactly what you’ll have. We’ll follow up closer to your pickup time to check in — just leave any unopened snacks, drinks, or groceries you don’t want, and we’ll handle the rest.

Volunteering

Q: How do I sign up to volunteer?

A: Fill out our volunteer form and we’ll match you with upcoming opportunities.

Q: Do I need a car?

A: It helps, especially for pickups and drop-offs. But we have other roles too!

Donations

Q: Can I make a one-time donation?

A: Absolutely. Every dollar helps us cover supplies and gas. You can donate via Venmo or online.

Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?

A: Yes! We’ll provide a receipt for your records.

Vendor & Venue Partners

Q: What kinds of vendors do you work with?

A: Bachelorette planners, Airbnb hosts, chefs, party decorators, and more.

Q: How do I share this with clients?

A: Fill out our vendor form, and we’ll give you a digital partner kit with info to send, post, or print.

Food Distribution Partners

Q: What do you deliver?

A: Sealed snacks, canned goods, dry pantry items, and unopened drinks from weekend pickups.

Q: How do I become a recipient?

A: Fill out our partner form and tell us your availability and needs. We’ll reach out to coordinate.
